"Tell me about your most memorable ex," I found myself asking as I tossed the stress ball on my table into the air and caught it again. I pulled myself up from my homework space and slunk over to my bed, where I plopped down and began tossing the ball towards the ceiling.
Damian hummed into my ear, taking his time to answer. "One time," he said slowly, in a way that made me realize he seemed to be a good storyteller. "My parents set me up with this girl. Rich parents, the best upbringing... she would have been perfect, as my mom liked to say. But honestly, I didn't feel like it was worth anything."
