Talia’s POV I stared at Wilmistocklis as he narrated the whole truth behind me having two mates. It was crazy that so many coincidences could happen in someone’s life. “So my second mate had to be killed for me to be with Zane?” Reina asked. "No, dear, but it's his fate. He would have died anyway; you were just there to witness it.” Anyway? Did he just say that anyway? “You speak of his death like it was just a means to keep the ball rolling, like he was just a catalyst to set everything right again.” I glared at the man, and it wasn't until Valak stroked my cheeks that I realized I was shedding tears. I guess I haven't fully come to terms with his death. “I don't mean any offense, Millennia; I'm just saying that it was destined in his fate to die. No matter what one does, one can never escape fate.” Wilmistocklis explained. “Then why can't your goddess erase every evil and vile person off the face of the planet? Why did she have to use my brother as a scapegoat?”
