CHAPTER 88: CHILDHOOD HOME.

Bloom stared out the window all through the ride back home; her mind was plagued with sadness and remorse. She never should have punished him for the actions of his beasts, but at the same time, it was the only way she could get rid of him. She was doomed to get married to a man she didn't love, and it was all to save her sister. If they were meant to be together, their paths would cross once again. The gates to the Stone mansion opened automatically, and Miguel drove in. Bloom stared at her childhood home; it looked different from the way she remembered it. It was painted purple with a touch of white when she left, and now that she was back, it looked like the money unicorn puked all over it. It was tiled with refractive glass, the kind that changed the beam of white light from the sun to rainbow colors. It was beautiful, no doubt about that, and it gave whoever walked across the street the street the impression that the family who lived there were among the top dogs.
