Talia's POV
We walked for a while before I couldn't take it anymore, I out my hand on a tree to suppress my weight.
"Are you okay?" Gale turned back to check on me.
"No." I was barely holding on to Abigael properly. I sat on the floor and placed her on my lap. She was still peacefully asleep, no matter how hardly I shook her she didn't respond of so much as bat an eyelid
The only light was from moonlight streaming through the leaves of the trees above. It was pitch darkness without it, the woods were looking really scary in the night. I didn't like it.
"I'm tired." One of the children complained.
Gale sighed, he put the two kids he was carrying near a tree and turned to meet me. His hand around my ankles.
"How bad does it hurt?" He applied a pressure and I felt like I was going to cry.
"A lot"
"We'll wait here for tonight, we should probably avoid the walkway." That means we had to go deeper into the woods.
I wasn't sure which I disliked more whether staying out here
