CHAPTER 52: CAUTIOUS.

Zane's POV I was surprised when I was informed about visitors asking to see me. I went out only to see Nicki and Nell looking right at me with smiles on their faces.  "You came."  "We did say we would visit some time." Nicki chimed in. "Yes, I thought... I didn't expect it to be so soon." It had only been a matter of hours since I last saw their faces, and here they were again. Frankly, they were starting to get on my nerves.  "To what do I owe the pleasure of your visit?" I looked behind them; there were no bodyguards or escorts; they had come alone. That was weird, maybe as a sign of peace. "We thought it would be better to have a better discussion about our alliance since you were in a hurry to return to your people earlier on."
