Everyone rushed to Zane when Talia left the room.
Reina stared at his cut and sighed with relief when it was healing very quickly.
“That bitch! How could she hurt you like that?” Clarissa fumed.
Reina shrugged. “I was expecting her to lash out, but not like this. What do we do, Zane?” She turned to him, her eyes filled with guilt and sadness.
“Don’t blame yourself for this. It's not your fault. You were going to be mine from the start.”
“That's true, but Talia is also innocent in all of this. If anything, we're the ones who hurt her badly.”
Reina knew that well enough; they were the villains here. She should have fought to

“Why not let her go, Zane? She’ll obviously cause a nuisance here.” Clarissa asked.
“I’m not letting my child go away from me. I'll raise it.” Zane deadpanned. “We just need to look for a way to appease her anger. Reina is right; we messed up.”
