CHAPTER 24; BLOOD BOND

  ZANE’S POV I watched as Reina got all the things, she needed for the spell ready.  She turned to me and said, “I’m going to need you to hold her in your arms.”  “Okay,” I replied, and I walked to the bed.  “Just let her upper body relax against yours and make sure one of her hands is in yours.”  “Oh, okay.” I did as she asked and watched her take the small dagger in her arms.  She looked at me and said softly, “Sorry.”  I smiled. No worries. Just do your thing.”  “Give me your hand.” She stretched out one hand, and I placed mine on it. She raised the dagger and pressed it deep against my palm.  I watched as blood flowed to the surface, and she cast a quick spell on the blood to stop it from flowing out of the wound.  She took Talia’s hand in hers and did the same thing.  Talia winced at the pain, and I clutched my arm that was around her tighter, pecking her forehead.
