CHAPTER 14: HITTING A ROADBLOCK.
ZANE'S POV
“That wouldn't stop him. He's a monster, and I'm tired of you guys giving him the benefit of doubt.” I huffed and paced the large living room.
“Calm down, Zane; I just put my mate to sleep.” Greymor looked in the direction of the bedroom with a slight panic in his eyes.
I calmed down and popped back on the couch beside him. “I'm sorry. I shouldn't have lashed out at you like that. It's your kid that's missing.”
He waved my words away dismissively, “They are just as important to you too. Just calm down and think before you make any rash decisions.”
I smiled.
And then I felt a slight tug at the barrier in my mind.
'Yes?'
'Alpha, I have some very bad news.'
I stood up immediately, and Greymor stood up with me as well.
'I can't find how the portal is being created. It'll take me months to get a hold of it.' Reina cried out in frustration.
'Calm down, Reina. Give it time.' I said,
'We don't have time. What if they harm the kids? What if...?' She trailed off.
