Chapter 4 BREAKING RULES

MIA POV: I heard birds chirping in their nice voices beside me. Feels I am sleeping in their houses instead of mine. But this wasn't possible. Sometimes I just want to fly like birds. They are so cute and free. And so am I free, but there are few things we humans can't do. I yawned, opening my eyes, knowing I have no time to waste in all these days. Because those who wake early always get what they want. ‘'Look who is up so early!" I heard daddy's voice, just making the morning more cheering for me. ‘'Good morning," I said in reply while he came and sat on my bed. ‘'Morning princesses. How was your sleep last night?" he asked, caring like always. ‘'better than ever," I answered, smiling. ‘'that's good. Now when you are ready then get ready for breakfast as well. I might now be able to accompany you before evening as I have an old friend to visit who is a little sick these days." He spoke. ‘'Okay, I am getting ready. So you want me to go with you as well?" I asked in response. ‘'No, you don't know him. The tack to his house is also not easy. You enjoy time with your friend and granny." He answered. ‘'Okay, I will. Have a safe trip. Give my greetings as well." I said in response. ‘'I will. You are such a nice lady, just like your late mother." He said, engulfing me in his arms. ‘'come down to eat kids." We heard granny's voice and chuckled. I ran to the bathroom and did my morning routine as fast as possible to have my fresh breakfast. ‘'Mia, let's go there," Lea said, destroying my peaceful reading time. ‘'No. Granny said it's better to avoid that place in the forest. And I am not going to do anything against her will. 'I replied, denying lea words for god knows how many times in this afternoon. ‘'This is the only importance I have. Two days I have left him a mansion and no one from my parents or even servants asked about me. I came here thinking I will be given importance. But seems like I am only a freeloader here." She said in a very sad tone. I know very well she is only fooling me, but a part of me felt so bad even after knowing it. ‘'Okay, stop it, drama queen. We will go there. But I will not help you if you get in trouble later." I said, knowing it's impossible to not break rules while being with her. ‘'Oh really! You don't know how much I love you, Mia." She said, jumping on the couch and hugging the life out of me. ‘'Calm down girl. We need granny's permission before we go anywhere. Even daddy isn't here today." I replied, and she finally let me go. Allowing to have some oxygen again. ‘'For that, you don't worry at all." She spoke so sure. How can she change her mood so fast? ‘'Okay but be careful about there. I don't want my girls to get lost, even in this small town." Granny said, making me gasp in shock. How dare she play so dirty with granny? She is something. Buying gifts for her busy parents, she wants to repay. This was the biggest lie I have ever heard in my whole life. I can't believe I have such a crazy friend. ‘'Let's go, Mia. Before it gets dark." Lea said coming near me and winked while granny didn't see that. ‘'Take care of her, Mea. She is a guest here." Granny advised me as well. ‘'I will. You don't worry, granny." I said in reply. ‘'My lovely girl." She said pecking my cheek. I grabbed my phone and handbag and so did lea did the same. Her excitement was having no limits at all. At last, she is happy. Hope everything goes well. ‘'Aren't you going to take your boyfriend?" she asked before we headed out. ‘'Boyfriend?" I asked confused but remembered what she calls my boyfriend. ‘'don't call it that girl. It's my camera. Not a boyfriend." I said in reply and grabbed it as well as we might need it later as well. ‘'here take this cash as some shops might not accept cards," Granny said handing me money. I feel so bad for lying to her. I will tell her everything after I come back. ‘'do we need to call a cab?" she asked right after stepping out of the house. ‘'it's a town. It's only a few meters away. Just come with me." I said, grabbing her hand and we both started walking towards the forest. I couldn't hold back my love for nature and made sure to capture some really good pictures of the beautiful view in front of me. ‘'What does this say?" lea asked grabbing my attention. ‘'You need to pay attention in language period. It says warning. Wild animals may be found next." I read out the board with old language written on it. ‘'There it is. The castle." She said pointing her hand towards herself. ‘'It's trespassing. I think we should go back. No one presents here." I said to her seeing the abandoned caste which was way bigger than it seemed from far. ‘'How is this trespassing? It's just an abandoned place that deserves some expiring. Think about all the unique photographs you can take in such an old place." She said excitedly and to know why I followed her words so easily. No door was locked properly. One push was needed to open every door. And just like that, we ended up standing in the main hall of the castle. It didn't look old at all. Although the place was dirty filled with dried leaves and dust over everything still it was so beautiful from inside. ‘'F**k! Why no signal here?" I heard Lea swear like she does when annoyed. ‘'don't swear Lea. It's not a good thing." I said to her know it's impossible to make her listen. ‘'You wait here for me. Let me get signals on my phone as I want to start my live vlog on all conditions." She said grabbing her phone high up and started walking back and forth everywhere. I saw a big door on my left half-opened. I wondered what was there. I walked there only to be welcomed with another room filled with dust. But then I saw a big room with chairs made of stone and things which seemed like furniture of very old time. I clicked few pictures before seeing the picture on a wall. It seemed an old painting. How can it be in such a good state? It was covered with a heavy curtain-type cloth I grabbed lightly to reveal a little out of curiosity without knowing my touch and it will fall on the ground fully. The amount of dust that arose after it fall made me cough until it settle. After catching my breath I looked at the huge painting. It seemed a big size man wearing a furry suit which was sewn so perfectly that it looked like that man's skin. I heard people from years and years ago were bigger compared to us. Maybe that's why he looked so big. It wasn't a well-lighted room so I had difficulty in seeing the painting clearly while my eyes got struck meeting with those electric green orbs. How can they have such a perfect color while they are only as a painting? I asked this to myself while I was lost starring at the picture for I don't know how long until I jumped in surprise hearing Lea yell as she was only present here with me according to my knowledge.
