Isabella missed a step, tried to right it and missed another. She stumbled, about to fall. Mateo bent over and caught her with an arm around her waist, their upper body pressing together.
The music ended with a flush, making the whole moves seem like part of their dance moves.
The crowd around them erupted into an applause, having been watching them both dance from the onset.
Mateo stared into the eyes of the woman in his arms. His sweet and kind beLLA, with the big, black doe eyes.
Weren't you engaged to Diego, sister?
Mateo searched her face and his memory as well. She was in no way the woman he had seen at the bar that night, he remembered that.
And her scent... Mateo sniffed her. He remembered the scent from that night faintly, but this close, he was hundred percent sure it wasn't the same scent.
A realization hit him; They had broken
