CHAPTER TWENTY -FOUR - STEALING THE SPOTLIGHT.
Everyone's eyes turned to Mateo, who still had his eyes closed as he tried to savor the wine.
Isabella found herself playing with her hair, waiting anxiously for him to say something. Mateo's eyes slowly opened and they met Isabella's.
She raised an eyebrow, hoping that her anxiousness was not obvious. Somehow she knew. She saw it in the way he slowly lowered the glass of wine to the table close to them.
She saw it in the way he hesitated. The old woman must have noticed it too.
" I don't know you to be someone that holds his opinion back," she pointed out.
Mateo smiled at her. " Not holding it back, just looking for the right words."
" You don't do that either, you just say it the way you see it," Rafael chimed in, his forehead furrowed.
Mateo scowled at Rafael.
" Just say it," Isabella encouraged.
" It was kind of bland," Mateo pointed out. " But then, people's taste bud differs and you must not be accurate all the time. Two out of three seems like an impressive feat
