CHAPTER HUNDRED AND FIFTY - EIGHT - THE MUCH AWAITED WEDDING DAY.
Isabella hummed a tune as she carefully dabbed concealer under her mother's eyes. "Mama, please stay still," she pleaded.
"I can't, mi hija," Marisol fidgeted, her hands clasped in her lap. "I'm just so nervous."
"Nervous? You're not the one getting married," Isabella teased with a laugh. "Now, hold still, or I'll mess up your eyeliner."
Marisol sighed and tried to sit still, but her foot kept tapping on the ground. "I know, I know. It's just, I never thought I'd be here," Marisol continued, her voice a mix of excitement and uncertainty. "I mean, it's been years since I last saw your father. And to think he'll be marrying someone else..."
"Mama, please," Isabella laughed again, trying to keep the mood light. "This is a happy day. It's a new chapter for Papa. Too bad we will have to ruin it..."
Isabella's laughter faded, replaced by a determined glint in her eye. "You're not nervous, Mama. You're determined. This is our chance to finally put an end to his lies."
