Chapter 9

Two days passed, and with no word from Estelle, Timothy returned to the villa. Upon learning that she had been staying in her room obediently, he looked suspicious. Wayne was both amused and helpless. "Mr. Sawford, Ms. Sawford has been in her room, and she hardly eats. I'm worried…" Timothy scoffed. "Wayne, you don't know how scheming she is. It's all just an act. She wants us to pity her. Tell me the truth—did she give you money to help her out?" Wayne was momentarily at a loss for words. He could tell that Timothy genuinely hated Estelle. Before he could reply, Timothy had already headed upstairs. He was determined to see what Estelle was up to today. As soon as he pushed open the door, he saw Estelle absentmindedly stroking her belly. He leaned against the doorframe, his eyes full of disdain. "You're thinking of something bad again, aren't you? You're jealous that Alison is carrying Dillon's child and plan to do something terrible!" Estelle, who had been lost in her own world, immediately lost all warmth in her eyes when she heard his voice. She looked up, her small face as expressionless as ever, and her gaze toward him was void of any emotion. Soon, she smiled. "Mr. Sawford, did you come to deliver the divorce papers today?" He froze for a moment, then immediately became angry. "Estelle! Don't think I'll fall for it just because you pretend not to care. I came here to tell you that we'll be holding a grand wedding for Alison and Dillon. And you…" He sneered again. "I do not have a sister like you. Once you and Dillon are officially divorced, I want you to leave the country and never come back." Seeing the disgust in his eyes as he mentioned sending her abroad, Estelle couldn't help but let out a bitter laugh. It was clear that before Alison appeared, she was spoiled by Timothy. But now... She quickly masked her emotions, pretending not to care, and smiled. "Mr. Sawford, instead of wasting more time here with me, why don't you think about how to get Dillon to sign the divorce papers faster?" Timothy felt something was off as he heard her words. Why did it feel like Dillon didn't want to get divorced? Impossible! She had to be deliberately misleading him. After realizing this, the contempt in his eyes deepened. Timothy sneered. "Stop talking nonsense. Dillon has just been busy these past couple of days. Once he's done with his work, he'll definitely divorce you." "Oh?" Busy? Estelle's starry eyes darkened with a sense of guilt. This scene made Timothy think that she was looking down on him. Damn it! How dare she look down on him! The more he thought about it, the angrier he got. He clenched his fists and gritted his teeth, giving her a warning. "You need to promise me that after you and Dillon get divorced, you won't disturb Alison or Dillon again, and you won't hurt Alison. Also, don't ever claim to have any connection to the Sawford family." She smiled and nodded. "Okay." She couldn't have agreed more. Timothy found it odd that she agreed so readily. Especially her eyes, which no longer held any trace of admiration. He noticed something else—the desk behind her seemed to have some sketch papers on it. He moved closer to look, but before he could get a good look, Estelle suddenly rushed to block him. "What are you trying to do?" She seemed nervous. Timothy's face darkened, and he shoved her away. "I should be asking you that. What are you up to this time?" With that, he snatched up the sketch papers. He saw that the paper depicted a leaf, but the shape of the leaf was odd. He crumpled it up and tossed it into the trash. "I thought it was something serious. Didn't I tell you not to draw anymore? Alison won't understand your drawings, and it'll upset her. Don't draw anymore." Estelle glanced at the trash can and quickly looked away. She nodded in agreement. "You're right. I shouldn't have drawn anymore." It had been a gift she planned to give him as a farewell, but now, it clearly wasn't needed. If he had looked closer, he would've noticed the signature of his favorite designer on the paper. The leaf shape was of an olive tree, his favorite type of tree. But since she was the one who drew this, no matter how beautiful it was, he would hate it simply because Alison despised it. Noticing her increasingly strange expression, Timothy felt uneasy. He averted his gaze from her and quickly turned to leave. "Good. I'll have someone arrange for your departure." With that, he hurriedly left the villa, his back rigid and aloof. After watching him leave, Estelle picked up the crumpled drawing from the trash and burned it with a lighter. After Timothy left the villa, he rushed to the hospital. Ever since discovering Alison's pregnancy, he had insisted she stay in the hospital, terrified that something might happen to her. But when he arrived at the hospital, he found himself in a daze. Alison had spoken to him for a while, but he hadn't responded at all. A fleeting look of resentment flashed in her eyes. Had Estelle really cast such a spell on him? "Timothy." She suddenly grabbed his wrist. Timothy froze for a moment, instinctively pushing her away. But once he realized who he had pushed, he quickly apologized, "Sorry, Alison. I thought it was that troublemaker, Estelle." Hearing that, Alison's face paled even more. She forced a weak smile and shook her head. "It's my fault. Timothy, why don't you let me terminate this pregnancy? I don't want Dillon and Estelle to get divorced anymore." Without hesitation, Timothy rejected her outright, "No way!" He grasped her hand, his eyes full of anger. "That evil woman is telling Dillon to sign the papers as soon as possible, as if Dillon doesn't want to divorce her. I'll make her understand that he can't wait to divorce her." For a moment, Alison couldn't contain her shock, and her voice rose. "What? Dillon doesn't want to divorce Estelle?" Seeing her getting emotional, Timothy felt a brief moment of doubt, but he quickly reassured himself. It had to be because she loved Dillon too much. He gently stroked her hair, soothing her in a soft voice, "I'll find Dillon now and make sure he takes responsibility for you." "Don't…" Before Alison could stop him, he had already left. As she watched his retreating figure, her eyes burned with fury. The foolish Timothy couldn't be provoked at all. He was completely clueless! But if he could really make Dillon divorce Estelle, then her goal would be achieved. Therefore, she didn't stop him and just waited for him to bring her good news.
