Chapter 42: Flora Alverov
Mia's POV
The next night, I felt my stomach hurting again as I tried to contain my laughter. "Sol, what on earth are you wearing?"
I watched as the pure-blooded vampire before me rose his hands at either side of him and turned around twice to show off his very human, very ugly outfit.
"I wanted to look more human for you," he told me. "It's in fashion."
"While I think the gesture is gorgeously sweet, it most certainly is not fashion." I shot him down immediately.
Shaking my head, I walked toward him, took the baseball cap from his head, and let his hair hang loose over his forehead. The sight took me back for a moment. I had never seen Sol without his hair combed and slicked back before.
The sight in front of me now made him look so much more attractive. I wasn't sure whether that detail was good for my heart or not. I cleared my throat and threw away the cap and scarf he wore around his neck.
