Chapter 99 Forcing Her
"It was just a joke. Why take it so seriously? No one will like a petty woman like you," one of the men mumbled, sounding like he was angered.
Sierra answered, "Being sharp-tongued and lacking humor are two different things. Don't mistake bad manners for charisma. I don't need you to like me, nor do I care if you hate me because we have absolutely nothing to do with each other."
"You—" The man was so enraged that his face turned purple, and he couldn't speak for a long time.
Benson furrowed his brows. "Sierra, they are my friends, so mind your words."
"Your friends are your friends, but not mine. Why should I listen to you just so they can bully me even more? Benson, have you ever stood up for me when they humiliated me?"
Her question caused Benson's expression to change. He found himself pursing his lips, unable to say a word.
"You're indeed sharp-tongued," Sophie spoke sarcastically from the side.
Sierra was completely disappointed in Benson and no longer wanted to stay there.
