Hearing Sierra's imposing voice, Madison realized she might have been a bit reckless. She gave an awkward smile and playfully said, "Alright, Cee, it's my fault. Don't be mad, okay?"
"I'm not mad. I just don't want Uncle Theo to think I have ulterior motives after all the times he's helped me," Sierra replied. Although she was sincere, she spoke with seriousness.
"Alright, let's stop talking about it and eat." Madison quickly changed the subject, opening the food containers. A mouthwatering aroma instantly filled the room.
"This must've been made by a five-star chef. How can it smell this good?"
She was practically mesmerized by the fragrance. She picked up her phone and canceled the breakfast she had ordered, telling the delivery guy to enjoy it himself and not to bother bringing it over.
Both she and Sierra were die-hard foodies. Whenever they got together, their gatherings revolved around eating.
Sierra's expression began to ease. Good food could indeed heal anything.
