Chapter 11 Is It Fun for Demi to Make Her Family Worried?

Demi spat out, "I'm not close with him. I have nothing to say to him!" The viewers frantically left comments. "Has the vicious gal gone insane? Not only did she snatch Annie's necklace right in front of the camera, but she's even giving Tommy the cold shoulder now!" "Why does it feel like Tommy is being so timid around her?" "Do they share some unspeakable secret?" Thomas gritted his teeth. Although they weren't close, they shouldn't have left her inside the car. Demi had gotten out fine, yet she was unwilling to even greet them. She wanted his entire family to remain on their toes and feel guilty. The family had been in a horrible mood during those few days, and his mother would cry out of nowhere. Since Thomas had already seen her, he didn't mind waiting for another hour and a half for the livestream to end. Then, he would have a proper conversation with her. Thomas remained next to Demi as he waved Ana over. Although she was reluctant, she still made her way over to them. Annoyance appeared on Demi's face, and she quickly took a few steps away from Thomas. Everyone, from Thomas and Ana to the staff and viewers, was dumbfounded. The viewers started commenting in a flurry. "Demi is insane! Why does she have that look on her face? How could she do that?" "That's why we say that she's rude!" "How dare an unknown actress like her act so arrogant in front of Annie and Tommy?" "What if she wants to get famous by using bad publicity?" "Why would the director cast someone like this? Can Demi just leave? She's ruining our viewing experience!" "Yeah, I agree! She should be kicked out!" "I second that!" "I'm 100% behind that!" As it was Saturday, apart from Thomas and Ana who were participating in the show and Alex who was studying abroad, everyone else in the family was present. Stephen, Daniel, and Michelle were in the study watching the livestream together. Harold Pitt was a doctor. As he had performed three surgeries in a row the previous afternoon, he felt a little tired and was currently asleep. If it wasn't for the fact that Demi had joined the cast, Stephen and Daniel would never watch such a show. After all, their time was incredibly valuable, and they could receive many orders within minutes. Hence, Stephen and the remaining two had witnessed the scene of Demi snatching the necklace from Ana's neck. A glint flashed across Michelle's eyes as she looked at the necklace. Meanwhile, Stephen frowned and asked, "Why was Ana wearing Demi's necklace?" "When we were in the car, Ana saw Demi's necklace, and she got curious about it. So, she took it and put it on. Then, the accident happened, and she didn't get to return it to Demi." Stephen nagged, "Ana has to remember to return things in the future. We have to stop any unnecessary misunderstandings from happening." In his opinion, Ana had been spoiled growing up, and it wasn't possible for her to want such a cheap necklace. However, Demi seemed to have misunderstood her. Michelle nodded, feeling slightly upset. "Alright." Then, Daniel pointed at the tablet and remarked, "I don't think we can rely on Thomas to get this done." In the livestream, Demi had rejected all of Thomas' and Ana's attempts at conversation. A glint of anger flashed across Michelle's eyes. She took out her phone and proclaimed, "I'll talk to Demi myself!" Then, she called Thomas. Meanwhile, at the foot of the mountain, Thomas accepted the phone call. After turning his microphone off, he put a hand around his phone and whispered, "Hello?" At the same time, he gave the cameraman a look, indicating for the camera to remain further away. Michelle kept her anger in check as she said, "Thomas, hand the phone over to Demi. I need to ask her some questions. I can't believe she's angry! I'm furious as well! If she's fine, then why hasn't she come home? Is it fun for her to see us so worried?" Michelle had gone through many emotions upon seeing Demi. She had initially felt shock, then relief, as she no longer carried the weight of being a murderer. Then, she felt angry at Demi for forcing her to feel so miserable throughout the past few days. As she had gone through a tough time during that period, the anger she felt toward Demi that day and the day before was amplified. When she watched Demi snatch the necklace from Ana's neck like a thief, even going so far as to make her embarrassed, Michelle was livid.
