Sage looked at her fingers with disgust in her eyes.
"Why did you use so much bandage on me?"
Jace could tell she was complaining about the way he bandaged her wound. "Shall I redo it?"
As he spoke, he wanted to undo the bandage. Sage retracted her hand and said, "Forget it. Just leave it that way. I don't want to suffer twice."

Jace looked at Sage's wounded hand and could not hide his heartache. He wiped off the blood on the carving knife and looked at the unfinished jade carving.
Jace asked, "Are you going to continue with the carving?"
