It was clear that the Sorenson family's legacy in Galenport remained unshaken. Even after a five-year period during which he was considered "missing," Herman remained a figure of considerable influence. He adeptly managed the throngs of attendees who sought his attention at the reception banquet.
Selena, feeling a bit stifled midway through the banquet, stepped onto the terrace to get some air.
Herman gently draped his coat over her shoulders and said, "You must be tired. Can you wait for me on the terrace for five minutes? I'll quickly say my goodbyes to Mr. Yates, and then I'll take you home."
