"Of course, it's me, you dumbo." I couldn't help but laugh as I reached for the red bank card Jonah was holding.
"Come on, give it back. That card holds all my assets. I'll be bankrupt if I lose it."
Seeing Jonah's disappointed and forlorn expression made my heart ache. He had been so good to me.
Though he was young, he was generous and unwavering in his support. He always stood by me, making me feel increasingly secure. I valued our friendship greatly and cherished him, so I didn't want to see him upset.
