Realizing that I was on a call with Bruce, I felt a surge of panic.
I instantly ended the call. I checked the call duration—it had been seven or eight minutes.
Apparently, I had accidentally tapped the screen and dialed Bruce when I was rummaging through my bag for the membership card Mrs. Barker gave me earlier. Bruce didn't hang up despite the length of the call, so he must've overheard my conversation with Ernest.
