"Nance, why are you just standing here?" Kate's gaze suddenly shifted to me. She said excitedly, "Look, I brought your favorite coffee, with less sugar."
As she said this, Kate smiled warmly like the breeze in the spring. It was completely different from her rigid expression when talking to Cindy. Even a fool could sense something was off.
As the center of this drama, Cindy clenched her fists tightly until her fingertips turned pale. Her gaze toward me was filled with hostility.
For a moment, I felt a headache coming on. I casually walked over and asked, "Kate, what brings you here all of a sudden?"
"I missed you," Kate intimately stepped closer to me. She looked intently at me and said, "It has only been a few days, and it seems like you've lost weight again."
