Chapter 358
Bruce's voice was laced with fury. Judging by his tone, he sounded like he was desperately trying to suppress his anger.
Utterly perplexed, I massaged my temples and asked, "What do you want me to remember, Mr. Harold?"
He began breathing erratically after a slight pause, but his rapid breaths eventually eased to a soft sigh. From what I knew about Bruce, he was probably upset now.
I didn't want to sow discord between our companies, so I continued patiently, "Do you mind giving me a hint, Mr. Harold?"
"How dare you!" Bruce suddenly raised his voice and grumbled, "Don't you remember this place?"
"Isn't this a tourist beach near the port of Joddesdon and Saza?"
"That's it?"
Scrutinizing the draft again, I shook my head. "Please enlighten me, Mr. Harold."
I couldn't afford to fall behind in work.
"Fine. Since you can't remember a thing," Bruce said, his voice quavering slightly, "Why don't we go and see for ourselves then?"
With a click, the line went dead. He hung up on me.
