After a brief pause, I heard Bruce's measured voice stating, "Ms. Smith, I would appreciate it if you could arrange a separate suite for Cindy in the room next to mine."
As soon as he said that, a hint of disappointment flitted across Cindy's face, but she quickly masked it.
Queenie, however, couldn't hide her look of disbelief. After a moment, she responded, "Very well, Mr. Harold."
While they were talking, John had already taken it upon himself to transport Cindy's luggage.
Despite Cindy's petite figure, she had brought along three large suitcases.
Since the reception area was a considerable distance from the inn, it would be quite a challenge for John to transport the luggage all by himself.
"My apologies for the oversight." Queenie acknowledged sheepishly. Then, she suddenly suggested, "Perhaps Ms. Fisher can assist Mr. Zeigler in transporting the luggage?"
