Chapter 1081
Zane and Jonah were like two mischievous monkeys. Whenever those two were together, peace and quiet were out of the question.
After whispering to each other for a bit, they came over to drag me along. "Ms. Nancy, let's go sit at that pavilion over there. The view is great, we can feed the fish, and best of all, it's nice and quiet!"
I didn't have any objections, so I agreed and followed them to the nearby pavilion. "Alright."
Zane and Jonah grabbed the chairs and dashed ahead. However, I had just eaten and was enjoying the scenery, so I strolled along at a slower pace. As I passed by a forest glade, I heard a sharp voice coming from behind the rock garden.
"Bruce, how could you do this to me? You're being so unfair!"
I recognized it immediately—it was Cindy's voice. I came to a halt. What on earth happened between her and Bruce that they would argue in someone else's house?
But then, I quickly realized I shouldn't be so curious. After all, their issues were none of my business.
