"Didn't I warn you not to stay overnight at the Richmond residence tonight? And yet, here you are, stark naked in my bed. Are you really this reckless, constantly testing my limits?" Evelyn slowly opened her eyes. She'd been semi-conscious since Jasper entered the room, but her mind had been foggy and unresponsive. But his accusatory tone jolted her fully awake. The first thing she noticed was the startling realization that she was completely naked. Moonlight streamed through the window, casting a dim glow across the room. Evelyn met Jasper's gaze, her face betraying a mix of shock and horror. Instinctively, she yanked the blanket up to cover herself, a strangled scream escaping her throat.
