The little girl quickly turned her gaze from Miranda, shrinking back as she whispered, "Mommy, I'm sorry."
Her mother glared at Miranda before lowering her head to resume eating.
Miranda suddenly realized that the little girl had nothing in front of her.
A guess began to form in her mind, darkening her expression slightly.
Just then, the shop owner brought her tacos, and Miranda had some water and started to eat.
Halfway through her meal, the woman at the opposite table finished eating and left with the little girl.
Miranda turned to watch them for a moment.
She wasn't the type to meddle in other people's affairs, so she merely glanced at them and chose to do nothing.
After finishing her tacos, Miranda paid, left the shop, and headed back to her hotel.
As she passed an alleyway, she paused, startled by the sounds coming from within.
"You stinking bitch! Do you have my permission to eat?"
