"I miss Aunt Lily too," Miranda said with an unreadable smile.
She got into the car and took out her phone to message Naomi. As the car approached the Tiverton Villa neighborhood, Miranda tucked her phone away.
When they reached the villa, she glanced at the front yard. It looked even more extravagant than on her last visit. A cold glint flickered in her eyes.
An elegantly dressed woman stood at the villa entrance. It was her aunt, Lily Graham.
Lily greeted Miranda warmly as she stepped out of the car. "Miri, I've been waiting for you! You never seem to think of me anymore. You hardly ever visit, not even once a year."
"Aunt Lily, how could I not think of you? You know how busy work keeps me," Miranda replied, taking Lily's hand affectionately.
Lily patted Miranda's hand with a face full of concern. "You're too driven, dear. I've told you to quit but you wouldn't listen. The Jennings can support you just fine. Look at how much weight you've lost."
