If she could, Miranda would have preferred to sit in the front and drive.
Yovanna was still sulking about Xavier spending the night in Miranda's room, though she was smart enough not to bring it up directly. Instead, she clung to his arm, chattering sweetly.
Miranda ignored the display, closing her eyes as if to rest.
"Ms. Jennings, I noticed that Harrison seems hard to get close to, but you two seem quite close. You must be really good at dealing with people," Yovanna suddenly remarked.
Miranda opened her eyes and replied calmly, "Getting close to him isn't difficult; it just takes a little patience and sincerity."
Although Harrison was forced to grow up faster than other kids his age, he remained a child at heart.
Yovanna smiled and nodded. "I see. Well, next time I meet him, I'll try to get along with him."
"What's the point of trying to get along with him?" Miranda asked, amused.
Yovanna blinked playfully. "I just hate being disliked for no reason."
