Teri and I were joking around when my phone suddenly rang. Seeing the caller ID, I felt a twinge of guilt. Teri noticed it was Logan calling and stuck out her tongue nervously. She gestured for me to answer the call before running off. So much for loyalty. I quickly found a quiet spot and nervously answered the call. "Hello...Logan… Dear…" There was a brief pause on the other end before Logan chuckled softly. "It's been a while since you've called me that." I let out a sheepish laugh. "Uh... um, why did you call me?" His tone suddenly turned serious. "Where are you? Come home. I have something to ask you." I instantly got nervous. "I... I'm still at the hospital. I can't go back right now." It sounded like he didn't believe me. "You're at the hospital? Then let the doctor know you're recovering well enough to come home." Hearing this, I felt a surge of grievance. "Why won't you come pick me up?" His voice remained calm. "Why do you think I'm not coming to get you?" I fell sil
