Chapter 620
The two classes passed in the blink of an eye. People gathered around Frederick to ask questions.
I took a look around and turned to leave.
"Wait, Ms. York." Frederick parted the crowd and quickly walked toward me.
I smiled politely at him. "Hi, Mr. Linton."
He glanced at the two bodyguards outside the classroom and asked, "You haven't been here for a week. How have you been lately?"
I replied, "I'm fine… Well, it's okay. Never mind, I'm alright."
There was concern in his eyes. "You've missed a week of classes. Wait a moment. I've prepared some notes for you. Take them home and look through them."
I was about to say it wasn't necessary, but then thought better of it.
He handed me a stack of notes and reminded me, "Ms. York, feel free to ask me if you don't understand anything."
I smiled politely again, then turned and left. What I didn't know was that he stared at my back for a long time. It wasn't until a student called out to him that he snapped back to reality.
