Chapter 239
Despite sensing something was amiss, Porter's habitual arrogance prevented him from backing down.
He smirked. "Ms. York, why the sour face? Did I say something wrong?"
As he spoke, he reached out to me with his wandering hands. However, without warning, I splashed my drink all over Porter.
He shrieked, soaked in wine. "I just bought these clothes today! They cost thousands!"
He glared at me, fuming. "Ariana York, don't you dare get cocky!"

In the dim light, I saw Norman casually sitting on the glass table, one foot on Porter's back, puffing on a cigarette. The dim light illuminated his sharp features, giving him an almost otherworldly look.
Norman shot a look down at Porter, exhaled a cloud of smoke, and chuckled. "Well, this is interesting. Never thought someone would be so bold in my place."
