Chapter 89: Reason

Laura was dumbfounded. She had never seen anybody offend her boss. She assumed he would lose his temper, but he continued eating at ease. After he finished eating, Tristan stood up to leave and asked Laura to clean up the table. When he got back to the bedroom, Kate had finished her shower and was in bed. It had only been ten minutes. He didn't know how she could finish in such a short time. After Tristan took a shower and came out of the bathroom, he saw Kate covered in a blanket up to her ears. She slept on her side and kept her back to him. She was lying there still as if she had fallen asleep. Another important part of the cold war was not allowing Tristan to touch her.
