The commotion had ceased by the time Shirley arrived at Blackwood Manor. The moment she stepped through the doors, she felt something amiss. Everyone seemed to be on tenterhooks, and she couldn't help but be affected by the uptight atmosphere.
Upon entering the living room, Shirley saw Benjamin seated on the couch with his back facing her. Shattered pieces of ceramic lay next to his feet, but no one dared to clean up the mess.
"Benjamin, where's Damian?" Shirley didn't see Damian in the room and approached Benjamin tentatively. After what happened last night, she had developed a deep fear of him.
The look in Benjamin's eyes was indifferent. There was nothing unusual about him, but she felt fearful.
Benjamin looked at her and said curtly, "He was too noisy, so I knocked him out."
