Chapter 285
No one noticed that Shirley had lost all color in her face. A bone-chilling cold seemed to seep into her very core, as if she were caught in the path of a freezing wind.
She could feel a pair of eyes watching her. She couldn't exactly pinpoint where from, but she was certain whatever terrifying presence that haunted the dungeon was now inside the wine cellar.
The wine cellar wasn't particularly large. Maroon wine racks stood on either side of the walls, and the entire space could be seen at a glance.
Shirley scanned the room, her eyes suddenly locking onto the elevator beside the cellar. As the doors slowly opened, a bloodied face appeared before her…
Franklin and Hayley thought it was odd that they had sensed nothing unusual since they entered the basement. Could it be that the thing that had frightened Shirley wasn't here?
