Nia chuckled. "Fair point. But there must be someone above you who you can confide in? Maybe not about the attraction specifically, but about the difficulties you're having with Logan's integration into the department?"
Deonna considered this. "I suppose I could speak to Mr. Maine. He did ask for regular updates on Logan's progress."
"That's a good start," Nia encouraged. "And finally, Dee, you need to be honest with yourself. Is this attraction worth risking everything you've worked for? Or is it just a result of the intense situation you're in?"
Deonna sighed heavily. "I don't know, Nia. That's what scares me. I've never felt this... confused before. This out of control."
"It's okay to be confused," Nia reassured her. "Just don't let that confusion lead you to make decisions you'll regret. Take some time to really think about what you want and what's best for your career."
