Chapter 238 - The Final Push
"Dave, take a walk. Cool off. Mark, show me these numbers," she said firmly.
It took fifteen minutes to sort out the misunderstanding – a simple data entry error that had snowballed into a full-blown argument. By the time Deonna and Jessica left accounting, the new hire looked slightly shell-shocked.
"Is it always this... intense?" Jessica asked hesitantly.
Deonna chuckled weakly. "Let's just say we're going through a... transitional period."
They had barely made it to the marketing department when a commotion erupted ahead. Rounding the corner, they found a scene of caffeinated chaos.
The sleek, high-tech coffee machine – a recent addition meant to boost morale – was spewing coffee like a geyser. Employees scrambled to contain the mess, slipping on the coffee-slicked floor and shouting over each other.
"Who tried to make a Venti Caramel Macchiato Frappuccino in this thing?" someone yelled.
"I just wanted my morning coffee!" came a plaintive response.
