CHAPTER ONE HUNDRED AND SIXTEEN – FIGURING OUT THE DETAILS

"Oh," Logan said softly, feeling deflated. "I didn't mean to pressure you." "I know you didn't," Deonna assured him. "But Logan, we're both still figuring ourselves out. We've been through so much, both together and apart. I need time to process all of that, to make sure I'm making decisions for the right reasons." Logan nodded slowly, trying to hide his disappointment. "I understand. I just thought... we've been getting along so well..." "We have," Deonna agreed. "And that's important. But getting along as co-parents is different from jumping back into a romantic relationship. I'm not saying never, Logan. I'm just saying... not yet." As the weight of Deonna's words sank in, Logan felt a mix of emotions swirling within him. Disappointment, certainly, but also a grudging respect for Deonna's honesty and self-awareness. "You're right," he said finally. "I got carried away. I'm sorry if I made you uncomfortable." Deonna squeezed his hand gently. "You didn't. I just want us to be on
