In the next moment, Owen's cool, dry hand gently patted the back of hers, almost as if offering comfort. Slowly, it helped her relax a little.
"You must be tired from holding on all these years alone." His voice was low and hoarse, but it carried a hint of comfort.
At this moment, Aurora felt her hardened heart start to soften a little. She was moved. She was not a weak woman, and she had never needed anyone to care about her. She had gotten used to being alone.
