"Alright," Jenson replied via voice message.
Her phone rang again after she put it down. It was Ambrose. "Did Sebastian make things hard for you?"
"No," she replied.
"Where are you? I'll come see you."
She didn't have the energy to entertain anyone now, so she said, "I am already home, and I'm exhausted. I don't feel like going out."
"What about tomorrow? Can we meet then?" Ambrose asked, her voice tinged with anticipation.
"I have something to do tomorrow."
"Then the day after?" He pressed, unwilling to give you.
Roxanne felt tired. "Ambrose, I—"
"Don't reject me. Let's go with the flow."
Roxanne sighed and said, "Alright. I'll call you when I'm free."
"Okay, don't be so busy that you forget."
"Got it."
Roxanne was about to fall asleep after putting down her phone once again when the doorbell rang.
Frustration began to well up inside her. She forced herself to open the door, just to see Vivian and Clarise standing there.
"What are you guys doing here?" she asked.
