Juliana's statement was, in Sean's opinion, a joke. It was funny that she thought Elvis would pursue her. Sean has never heard of anything like this happening in his years in Billy City.

She remained unfazed. She knew anyone listening to her would react just as Sean did. They overlooked the fact that she would not make such a claim without assurance. 

She only needed to approach Elvis to expose herself, even if it only took a glance from him to figure out the truth.

"It seems you don't believe me.” Julianna smiled and stood up, saying, "If you do not believe it now, I’ll prove it to you." 

She walked boldly toward Elvis, unafraid of the repercussions.

Sean had intended to leave, but he noticed Elvis and Julianna approaching him. Julianna had a warm smile, and Elvis let her hold his arm.

Even without speaking, their intimate demeanor made Sean start thinking about how to protect the family's wealth. He wondered why he had not heard about their close relationship before. 

If Sean had known about it, he would never have arranged to meet her.

Lost in thought, Sean didn't notice when they reached him. He felt his legs weaken when he saw them sit down in front of him, and he followed suit.

"Are you still interested in telling me about what you said earlier?" Juliana's smile appeared more harmless, but it terrified Sean. He did not dare speak in front of Elvis.

"Julianna, we've known each other for so many years. You don't need to do this. Even if we can't be partners, we can still be good friends, right?"

The couple was instantly silenced, as they could not afford to risk it. All they could do was watch as she left. 

Albert and Judy looked worried. 

"What should we do? If Mother doesn't show up at the engagement, she won’t attend the wedding. The public will surely criticize our family.”

This was why Judy insisted Melissa attend the engagement. Melissa's presence as a grandmother here would be interpreted as approval of the marriage. No matter what others said, they would not dare speak ill of the elderly. 

Melissa’s refusal to attend the engagement would cause problems. Meanwhile, Albert felt frustrated because Julianna had returned, jeopardizing his position. 

He pushed Judy away in irritation. "Enough! I’ve said from the beginning that we should wait a little longer, but you didn't listen to me. Now you're asking me what to do? You deal with it yourself. If you embarrass our family, you and your daughter can leave!" 

With both gone, the entire Wilson family fortune was his. 

Besides, he was still young and could easily find another woman and have a son. He could then pass on the Wilson family legacy to his son. 

Judy landed hard and stared in shock at Albert as he turned to leave. She could not believe he would treat her that way when they had been married for years.

In reality, both of them were ruthless and felt emotions could be discarded. Judy's goal was to secure the Wilson family's fortune, and she would never allow any issues to arise midway. 

She gritted her teeth, stood up, and called Blanche.

Although Sean tried to get closer to her, she did not fall for it at all. She continued eating calmly. Today's meal was on Sean, so there was no reason to decline it. 

He seemed slightly embarrassed by her reaction. "It's alright. The past isn't that important, right?"

"Sean, our relationship ended five years ago. Why’d you ask me out today? What do you want to talk to me about?" 

"I was wondering if we could go back to how we were. I mean, back when we were about to get engaged." 

Sean looked somewhat nervous but gazed at Julianna with deep affection. Julianna could not help but laugh at this. ‘What on earth is he talking about?’

Despite not living in Billy City during these years, Julianna was aware of Sean’s relationship  with Blanche. They were already engaged to be married, but it was bewildering for him to utter such words. 

"I don't blame you for what happened back then. You had two babies who couldn’t be terminated due to your poor health. But they’ll be a burden to us. If you're willing to give them up, we can go back to how we were. That’s what you wanted, right?"

Julianna sneered, "Are you insane? How could you say such a thing to me, and what made you think I want to go back to you?" 

"Why not?" Sean was confident because he knew how much she liked him.
