Chapter 55: In a Great Mood

After hanging up the phone, Chloe squeezed through the crowd and exited the subway station. As she stepped outside, the cold wind hit her, making her shiver. The weather was getting colder by the day. Suddenly, someone gently tapped her on the shoulder. Chloe turned around, surprised to see it was Wyatt. "Why are you here?" she asked, a little startled. "I was just heading home. The weather’s too bad for driving, so I took the subway," Wyatt explained. The two of them walked together, chatting as they headed out. Knowing that today was exam day, Wyatt asked, "How did the test go?" Chloe's eyes curved into a smile. "Pretty good, actually. It went smoothly." From her confident look, Wyatt could tell she felt assured about her performance. He smiled but didn’t say much. It was winter, and the days got dark early. Though they had left fairly early, the streetlights were already on. On their way home, they passed a bustling shopping street where many people were out buying things.
