Chapter 83 I Wouldn’t Blame You
In the living room, Madam Kelly looked at the tray the housekeeper had brought out of Mortimer’s room.
The food was untouched.
She was angry. “Is this how you take care of Mortimer? Get Monroe to fire the chef!”
The doctor said, “I think Mr. Mortimer’s mental health is more worrying than his physical health. If I’m not mistaken, he has depression.”
Madam Kelly sighed. “He’s always been… I thought he’d been cured. I didn’t know…”
“I’ve prescribed him some antidepressants, but he refused to take them. He threw all the medicine away.”
No matter how good the doctor was, he could do nothing if the patient did not listen.
Madam Kelly thought for a moment. “Let me talk to him. Maybe he’ll listen to me.”
The doctor hesitated, then suggested gently, “I believe his depression is mostly because of Madam Tiffany. How about we ask her to come back?”
“Never!” Madam Kelly said without any hesitation. “She’s the one who caused all this! I cannot let her anywhere near Mortimer!”
