Chapter 815
With elegance, the man walked past my bodyguards behind me. Shortly after, his figure disappeared into the night. I withdrew my gaze and continued my journey uphill.
An hour later, I finally saw Yara. She looked at me with her pitiful face, and she was drenched with her messy, long hair. I hurriedly went to her and covered her under my umbrella, then gave her the clothes I brought for her.
Yara shivered and sighed, “I’m freezing to death!”
She followed me downhill. We could not cover the two of us under an umbrella, so my bodyguards moved in swift action and quickly handed us another umbrella. Yara took it and held it above her head.
She said gratefully, “Thanks. You saved my life today!”
“Haha,” I laughed, “Isn’t that too serious?”
“You did! You didn’t know how terrified I was when I walked down this way! I walked past a few graves just now. It was weird that the graves were by the roadside. It’s so scary!”
The man from earlier said he went up the hill to see his old friend.
