When Isabelle prepared to leave, she finally noticed the place she stood on was unstable. It was no wonder that Cedar pushed her away and fell to the bottom alone. He left the only chance of survival for her. On the verge of life and death, he chose her. Why would she not cherish a man that was willing to sacrifice his life for hers? Cedar loved her. He truly loved her down to his bones. ‘Loved me down to his bones…’ Isabelle was surprised when that term flashed in her mind. While she slid down, she recalled what her father and Lucas mentioned about love. Father said that love was the love of a lifetime, and Lucas said love was faith. It was the same as Cedar’s feelings for her. It was not easy for one to meet another person who would willingly sacrifice their life or dedicate their life to them wholeheartedly. When she recalled Cedar’s confession from before, she suddenly felt sorry for Cedar. Cedar had given her his all in his forbearance while she ignored him heartlessly.
