Chapter 2003
Cedar’s face was as cold as ice—just like how he usually was.
Once again, he used his silence as a reply. Somehow, Isabelle already got used to that part of him.
She got up and fried some eggs in a small pan. She had kept them in a metal tin. That was why they did not break from the long journey.
In fact, she only brought enough supplies for a one-way trip. Her supplies would not last for the descent.
Thankful, Tom and the rest followed her. She was glad that Cedar came along. Otherwise, there was no way for her to get out of Mount McKinley alive.
There was not a single time in her life where she desired to stay alive as much as she did then. Her heart was filled with hope, and she wished to survive.
She fried the eggs and served them to Cedar in a small bowl. The man was pretty amused that she put so much effort into it. Even though she was stuck in a bad situation, she still seemed collected while passing her time in leisure.
